Territory Manager (Downsize/Remodel Delivery)

Responsibilities
Field leadership: Develop a deep awareness with the downsize and remodel projects in the leader’s respective territory, understanding the nuances of managing projects in an open store environment
Problem solving: Acting as the single point of contact to coordinate across departments to ensure the store has all required information and is executing under challenging circumstances
Prioritization : Will need to understand all phases of complex projects and work with stores to escalate and solve unforeseen issues (IT, AP equipment, construction issues, late trucks, etc.)
Best practices identification & implementation : Role is not just about “fixing what could go wrong”, but identifying practices that help ensure stores are delivered on-time and at a top-performing level
Test & Learn: Act as the conduit for various department test & learn efforts with select downsize and remodel stores. Also, offer ideas, feedback, and manage (where necessary) certain test & learn activities
Planning & Communication : Lead planning efforts and store communication to achieve store operational readiness prior to project start
Identify all activities necessary to insure store is operationally ready, including equipment in working order, excess fixtures disposed of, etc
Initiate and maintain ongoing communication regarding timelines, phasing, staffing and all preparation necessary to begin project
Construction process: Oversee the entire DS/R store process within the territory, from lease execution through project completion
Acts as the single point of contact for the overall success of DS/R store projects, coordinating efforts across several departments (real estate, construction, fixtures, merch allocations, operations, outbound logistics, IT, AP, etc.)
Ensure that all store projects meet predetermined timelines and quality standards
Priority focus will be on all activities that could negatively impact sales, shortage or service metrics
Leadership & Team Coordination: Develop relationships across departments, but especially with local leadership
Territory Senior Vice Presidents & Regional Vice Presidents: Ensure they are kept up to speed on DS/R status and opportunities where they may need to intervene
District & Store Managers: Work more closely with to help solution any issues, train where necessary, escalate critical issues
Regional Operations Managers: Partner with to ensure stores are following the latest SOPs and help them address any critical issues
District Asset Protection Managers: Partner with to ensure the store is set-up properly for asset protection related devices at all times (PVMs, EAS tags, etc)
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Manage local vendor relationships and coordinate with the central procurement team where necessary for things like store supplies, fixtures, and other store needs
Qualification
Required
BA Real Estate, Business Administration or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience
Effective cross functional leader, has ability to influence, strong verbal communicator, resilient and innovative problem solver
Leverage data to analyze and identify risk to ensure proper resource allocation and prioritization
Effective at leading meetings, ensuring follow-ups are clear, assigned to the right business partners and verify timely completion
Ability to recognize patterns and solve issues at root level
Candidates must be located in the Northern half of the USA
Preferred
Experience with open store remodel processes a plus, has knowledge of different cross functional dependencies
