Intake Specialist

Livinghr is a faith-based nonprofit supporting individuals transitioning from incarceration, and they are seeking an Intake Specialist to be the first point of contact for prospective participants. This role involves targeted outreach, determining eligibility, and coordinating logistics for program enrollment.

Responsibilities

Presents, promotes, and explains program services to individuals interested in re-entry support
Addresses inquiries and, when appropriate, refers candidates to other agencies that may better meet their needs
Clearly communicates expectations and confirms attendance for scheduled orientation sessions
Administers pre-program drug screenings for incoming participants
Conducts Records Review Workshops for enrolled clients to help them understand their background reports
Coordinates, arranges, and provides transportation (using a company vehicle) for client appointments, including transport from release locations, reentry centers, probation offices, and transitional housing facilities
Supports early morning, evening, and occasional weekend client releases as required
Maintains an understanding of the re-entry population and connects clients with available community resources
Develops and sustains collaborative relationships with probation officers, correctional staff, and transitional housing partners to support client transitions
Accurately enters and maintains data, records, documentation, and case files
Produces reports and consistently updates information within the Efforts-to-Outcomes (ETO) data system

Required

Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients
Strong communication skills to present and explain program services
Experience in conducting background checks and collecting documentation
Ability to coordinate logistics and schedule appointments
Experience in providing transportation for clients
Understanding of the re-entry population and community resources
Ability to develop collaborative relationships with community partners
Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate data and documentation
Experience with data entry and report production in a data management system
