Quality Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Responsibilities
Lead a team of quality technicians, calibration technicians, and leads who will develop and deliver the quality performance for launched effects products including launchers, flight systems, propulsion systems, energetics, actuators, control surfaces and structures, etc
Train employees on work instructions, procedures, and hands-on functions, documenting training records. Be the subject matter expert for quality inspection for the local site
Develop and maintain Quality control standards, ensuring consistent application through staff training
Write and update standard operating procedures (SOP)
Perform data collection and statistical analysis on the data to drive decisions
Drive resource alignment and inspector capabilities for: Incoming/Receiving Material Inspection, In-process inspection, End-of-line Inspection, material containment, and MRB inspection operations
Monitor processes to identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with other managers/departments to ensure product is delivered on time
Ensure Inspection areas follow processes and best practices associated with inspection work instructions, procedures, and tools
Collaborate with Quality Engineering in the creation of inspection plans for incoming materials, parts, and assemblies from suppliers and monitor their compliance
Lead and/or support the calibration program and activities for calibrated devices at the local Atlanta, GA, site Forward Deployed sites, and Test sites
When required by regulatory compliance, customer or otherwise, ensure that all measurement, tooling and is calibrated to the required calibration standards
Qualification
Required
5+ years of Quality and/or Regulatory experience within the Aerospace or Aviation industry
3+ years of experience working in a Management role
Basic knowledge of budgetary process
Strong understanding of AS9100 requirements and/or FAA/EASA regulations
Prior exposure to the manufacture of electronic components for Aerospace applications
Understanding of FAIR, COC, production metrics
Strong understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) elements such as Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills
In-depth knowledge of Quality Improvement and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
Strong understanding of GD&T
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Technical or Associates degree in related quality/mechanical/aerospace engineering field
Understanding of FAIR, COC, production metrics
Knowledge of calibrated measurement tools
Understanding of IPC-A-610 or IPC-A-620
Experience with Manufacturing processes and their related systems (Jira, MES, ERP, Teamcenter, CAD)
