As the Assistant Head of School, you will ensure the overall success of the campus by managing operations, compliance, and staff development while driving program quality and family engagement.

Responsibilities

Oversee staffing plans and scheduling; support team development through mentorship, coaching, and performance management
Collaborate with the Head of People on hiring, promotions, and employee relations matters
Cultivate a positive, mission-driven workplace culture
Partner with the Education Director to ensure consistent program quality and alignment with Vivvi’s educational vision
Provide support and oversight to ensure classroom teams have the resources and guidance they need
Serve as the campus lead for compliance, licensing, and health and safety
Maintain a thorough understanding of Article 47 and other relevant regulations
Manage day-to-day operational logistics, delegate responsibilities, and coordinate emergency preparedness and safety procedures
Drive enrollment and retention efforts through relationship-building, communication, and community initiatives
Support a welcoming and responsive school environment for all families

Required

Hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Have 5+ years of leadership experience in early childhood or school administration
Are experienced in managing teams and leading school operations
Are knowledgeable about compliance requirements and licensing regulations
Are skilled in building relationships with families and staff
Align with Vivvi's mission and values, especially in creating inclusive, high-quality learning environments
Applicants must be based in or willing to relocate to NYC and have independent U.S. work authorization

Preferred

Possess NY State Teaching Certification (preferred for regulatory purposes, not for classroom teaching)
