Business Development Manager
Raymond is a progressive architecture and engineering consulting firm with over 30 years of experience. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to support and grow their footprint by engaging clients, expanding markets, and identifying new opportunities.

Responsibilities
Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients through meetings, outreach, and ongoing communication
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and organizational meetings (SAME, IFMA, CoreNet, etc.)
Promote company services to current and prospective clients and proactively identify opportunities for cross-selling
Research, review, and track bid opportunities, solicitations, and RFQs across federal, state, and municipal sectors
Develop and maintain partnerships to support teaming opportunities for bids and contracts
Follow up consistently on proposals to increase contract closure rates
Support client retention efforts by collaborating with internal teams on transition strategies and service consistency
Travel to regional offices to collaborate with local leadership and align business development initiatives
Maintain accurate and detailed CRM records, including meeting notes, follow-ups, prospect updates, and partner information
Track client cycles, follow-up deadlines, and BD activity using shared calendars and internal systems
Coordinate public speaking opportunities, capabilities briefings, and client presentations for leadership
Represent the company professionally at trade shows, municipal mixers, industry days, and networking events
Assist marketing with the development and refinement of BD materials, presentations, and strategy documents
Stay current on new platforms, tools, and federal/municipal contracting resources (Ajera, CRM systems, SAM.gov, etc.)
Provide updates to corporate marketing and federal programs on upcoming opportunities and market insights
Qualification
Required
Four-year college degree required
Competency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
Ability to travel up to 50%
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and set up materials for trade shows and events (30 lbs)
Ability to work long hours during events, including walking 5+ miles at large venues
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors and navigate uneven surfaces during events
Must be able to sit for extended travel (air or car) and use a computer for prolonged periods
Must be authorized to work in the United States
