Responsibilities
Design complete low- and medium-voltage electrical systems (4.16KV,13.3KV, 35 KV), including power, lighting, fire alarm, and signaling systems
Develop lighting systems and associated control systems
Prepare load analyses for each stage of design
Lead a design team in producing detailed electrical system drawings
Draft basis-of-design reports for projects
Document energy compliance with applicable codes
Select and prepare specifications for electrical equipment
Coordinate with mechanical, life safety, and other engineering disciplines, as well as architects
Maintain confidentiality with clients and projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
Professional Engineer license (PE)
12+ years of Electrical Engineering experience, including the following
Experience working for a MEP firm required focusing on Mission Critical applications, experience designing medium-voltage distribution systems and emergency generation
Proficient in Revit, 3D CADD, SKM and/or eTap Power Tools, Bentley BIM
Knowledge of NFPA Codes and Standards, i.e.; 70,70E,130,502,101,110, etc
Working knowledge of other building systems (e.g. door finish hardware, IT building communications, lighting controls and BAS networks) as these relate electrical systems
