PROGRAM ANALYST (CUAS SPECIALIST)

Responsibilities
Responsible for analyzing, developing, and evaluating detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range strategic implementation of aerospace and maritime domain awareness as it relates to Unmanned Systems (UxS) and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) threats within the area of operations
Represents NORAD J3, NORAD J32, and NORAD J32C C-UAS Branch at meetings, conferences, symposia and site visits related to assigned duties and the aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning missions of NORAD
Actively participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques
Responsible for the operational integration of existing, new, and emerging technological systems affecting NORAD domain awareness missions

Males must be registered for Selective Service
One year of specialized experience which includes one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 (or higher) grade level or equivalent pay systems
Expert knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of critical command plans and programs
Mastery of advanced management and organizational principles and practices
Comprehensive knowledge of planning, programming, and budgeting regulations, guidelines and process
Thorough knowledge of the military command's facilities planning, acquisition, and management process
Advanced knowledge of homeland domain awareness program goals and objectives
Skill in designing and conducting comprehensive studies, and developing solutions to broad, important, and severe command operational and contingency areas
Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for analyzing, developing, and evaluating combatant command level plans
Knowledge of the Joint Operational Planning and Execution System (JOPES) and the traditional military decision-making process
Knowledge of the Department of Defense, Joint Staff, and Services vision, strategic planning documents and acquisition, requirements development, and planning processes
Knowledge of a wide range of UAS and UxS threats and their capabilities
Ability to make critical independent decisions, present findings, and influence senior leaders to accept and implement recommendations
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Preferred
A Master's degree and JMPE accomplishment is desired but not required
