2nd Shift Engineering Technician
CTDI is a large-scale Engineering, Repair, and Logistics company that services the country’s largest wireless telecommunications providers. The 2nd Shift Engineering Technician will work with corporate teams to install and maintain CATV head-end equipment and support the optimization of set-top box testing and repair processes.

Responsibilities
Work with our corporate team to install and maintain CATV head-end equipment
Work with our corporate engineering and Operations management team to prepare Test Procedures for STB repair and clean and screen processes
Work with CTDI STB repair branches to implement and support the tools and processes to optimize set top box testing and repair processes
Interface directly with the customer concerning New Product Introduction (NPI) work on new STB models
Analyze technical requirements and effort associated with test systems, products, and STB repair and clean and screen processes
Generate various documents, including test procedures, schematics, flowcharts, and project status reports
Support local branch on technical requirements and consult with other branches as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of Science
Internship or project experience with test engineering
Strong time management skills and the ability to work autonomously
Ability to prioritize tasks based on direction from multiple departments
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to work with and communicate with a diverse population, including all levels of management
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Clear discriminatory approach to solving engineering problems
Understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor circuits
Understanding of audio, video and CATV RF formats and circuits
Familiarity with Cable TV (CATV) and Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) technology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work Authorization in the United States
Must be 18 years of age
Availability to work Monday through Friday
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Familiarity with IP networks and Linux a plus
