Responsibilities
Architect & Scale: Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions on AWS to support Iru's expanding platform
Infrastructure as Code: Develop and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform and AWS CDK, ensuring repeatability and consistency
Automation & CI/CD: Lead the development of automated deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes to enhance development velocity and reliability
Monitoring & Observability: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address system issues
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business goals
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Qualification
Required
10+ years in infrastructure engineering, with a strong background in AWS services and cloud-native architectures
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools
Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls in AWS environments
Ability to diagnose complex system issues and implement effective solutions promptly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Required to work on-site 5x a week in our Miami office (Coral Gables)
Preferred
Experience in a hyper-growth startup environment
Familiarity with device management and security
Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects
