Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement database solutions that meet business requirements and ensure data integrity
Design and manage secure installs of database servers, to include related products such as reporting tools
Lead disaster recovery planning and recovery
Design, implement, optimize and debug database systems and solutions, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views using T-SQL
Implement SSIS and SSRS for data integration and reporting
Adhere to architectural design standards, risk management and security policies, data management policies
Coordinate and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to provide technical support, in addition to ensuring successful database installations, and integration activities
Document procedures for installation, design and processes
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and identify areas for improvement and timely upgrades

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of directly relevant, hands-on experience + OR High school diploma/equivalent, plus a minimum of 10 years of directly relevant, hands-on experience
Comprehensive professional experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and the Microsoft environment: + Microsoft SQL Server current versions + SQL Server Replication + SQL Server High Availability + SQL Server Clustering + Power BI/Reporting Services
Understands Active Directory as it relates to the secure install and problem solving of the database environment
Strong foundation in designing database permission models using schemas, roles and user accounts
Technical proficiency in database design and query optimization
Clear communicator, able to explain logic and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking in resolving technical challenges
Keen attention to detail
Self-driven learner who can work independently and collaborate effectively
Must be U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship
Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Q and NRC U clearance
