Responsibilities

Own the full monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process — accurate, fast, GAAP-compliant
Manage AP, AR, payroll (global oversight), Concur expenses, and general accounting
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3 accounting professionals
Perform/review reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analysis
Drive audit prep and serve as primary contact for external auditors and tax teams
Strengthen internal controls and documentation across financial reporting
Partner on budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis as needed
Identify and implement process improvements, including system upgrades and reporting automation
Serve as backup for payroll and Concur processing

Required

8–10+ years progressive accounting experience with proven management of staff
Bachelor's in Accounting
Advanced Excel required
Deep GAAP, inventory/COGS, technical accounting, and financial reporting
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication abilities — can present to executives and train staff
Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced public company environment
Local to the Lexington, MA area for hybrid schedule (3 days/week onsite required)

Preferred

CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
Life sciences / medical device strongly preferred
Public company experience a big plus
Strong SAP, Concur, UKG a plus
