Sr Electrical and Controls Engineer
Peerless Pump Company is a US-based manufacturer of centrifugal pumps for various applications. The Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer will lead the design and development of electrical systems and controls for integrated pumping systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Lead electrical and controls system design for modular products, ensuring compliance with NEC, IEC, and local codes
Create and review technical documentation including one-line diagrams, schematics, load lists, and Bills of Material using AutoCAD or similar tools
Collaborate across teams—manufacturing, purchasing, vendors, and clients—to align designs with project and production requirements
Support project lifecycle activities such as bidding, cost estimation, proposal generation, and commissioning
Review and approve submittals and RFIs, and provide technical responses to stakeholders and inspectors
Develop and maintain internal design standards, tools, and templates; implement industry best practices
Manage control systems including PLC-based and fixed I/O systems, and support factory testing and field troubleshooting
Evaluate new technologies to enhance product design, manufacturability, and serviceability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology with 5+ years' experience in electrical and/or controls system application, design, & manufacturing
Strong expertise in electrical systems, including installation, low/medium voltage, and compliance with NEC, UL, and NEMA standards
Advanced proficiency in PLC and controls technology, including programming, diagnostics, and application design
Skilled in interpreting specifications and using design tools, such as AutoCAD, SAP (ERP), and product sizing software
Effective communicator and collaborator, with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders
Highly organized and accountable, capable of managing multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
The ability to operate daily out of the Waller, TX facility in a hybrid function
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
Experience in pumping systems with a pump manufacturer is highly preferred
