Responsibilities
Conduct field surveys including habitat assessments, protected species surveys, and wetland delineations
Collect, analyze, and interpret ecological and environmental data
Prepare technical reports, biological assessments, and environmental permitting documents
Ensure compliance with Federal and State Environmental regulations (e.g., ESA, Clean Water Act, NEPA)
Coordinate with agencies such as the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Army Corps of Engineers, and State Environmental departments
Support environmental impact assessments and mitigation planning
Assist with environmental permitting processes for development or infrastructure projects
Maintain accurate field notes and GIS/mapping documentation
Other duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology or related field
3+ years of relevant experience in ecological consulting or environmental field work
Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations
Proficient in Wetland delineation with demonstrable experience
Proficiency in GIS, GPS mapping, and ecological data collection
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, ability to travel to job sites as needed
