SGT Mechanical Field Service Representative

Responsibilities
Maintain the highest level of a zero-harm culture in part by following and enforcing all company and customer EHS policies and programs
Carry out all aspects of mechanical installation, commissioning, service and maintenance of gas turbine packages in Region North America or Canada according to contract and deadlines
Plan / perform and coordinate onsite service and maintenance activities. Liaise with project and engineering teams to ensure customer’s expectations are met or exceeded
Able to carry out and supervise mechanical aspects of Gas Turbine Inspection procedures such as visual inspection, borescope Inspection, filter changes, valve servicing including return to service following correct standards and procedures. Maintain an accurate record of activity carried out on site – Produce written reports
Travel extensively approximately 80% domestically, and willing to travel internationally (Canada) as opportunities arise; must hold a valid passport and pass required background checks and drug/alcohol testing. International travel may include developing countries
Must carry valid passport, be able to pass both required background checks and required drug and alcohol testing. International assignments are likely to include travel to developing countries
Able to perform duties on day or night shift under difficult conditions, heat, cold, noise, etc. Able to travel on short notice and work weekends and holidays
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED that can be verified is required
5-7 years minimum experience as a mechanic on Industrial or Aeroderivative gas turbines
Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents is required
Strong time management, leadership and organizational skills to work with a crew of mechanics
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write detailed technical reports for engineering review and analysis
Must hold valid driver's license and passport
Must carry valid passport, be able to pass both required background checks and required drug and alcohol testing
Able to perform duties on day or night shift under difficult conditions, heat, cold, noise, etc
Able to travel on short notice and work weekends and holidays
Travel extensively approximately 80% domestically, and willing to travel internationally (Canada) as opportunities arise
Preferred
Familiar with strip/rebuild of rotating mechanical equipment, function of associated equipment and auxiliary air, fuel and oil systems
Experience with endoscopic (Borescope) inspections and techniques
Familiarity with laser alignment
Previous SGT 100-400 gas turbine outage experience in the Power Generation or Oil and Gas Industries
