The Mechanical Technician is responsible for supporting the Maintenance Department by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, implementing maintenance plans, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

Assisting the Maintenance Department with mechanical tasks

Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs throughout the stores

Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns

Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems

Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records

Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies

Assist in training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment

Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and adhering to industry regulations

Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Internet capabilities

Comply fully with and enforce all safety policies and procedures

Attendance at your job is essential to the overall function of your department

Always operate equipment with all safeguards in place and in good operating condition observe the safe method of performing all duties

Immediately advise Management of any maintenance or equipment problems

Perform other duties as assigned
