Responsibilities
Perform laboratory experiments up to kilo-scale involving hazardous materials under the direction of a Chemist or Chemical Engineer
Work includes support for lab experiments, calculations, data analysis, maintaining records, and accurate reporting of data
Perform troubleshooting on kilo-lab scale equipment
Perform routine lab HSE and HOS tasks
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a two-year chemistry related degree is required, we value four-year chemistry related degree
Must be able to work safely with hazardous materials including hydrofluoric acid (HF), fluorosulfonic acid (FSA), etc
Must have good chemical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to assemble, run and troubleshoot chemical experiments and equipment
Must demonstrate ability to learn and use analytical equipment needed in support of processes including Gas-chromatograph and other laboratory instruments
Be able to use computer software such as Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), and process control software
Be able to move up to 600-pound drums and 250-pound gas cylinders utilizing appropriate handling equipment, lift and carry up to 35-pound pails, climb ladders and scaffolding, wear all PPE and respiratory equipment
Be able to work rotating 8-hour shifts
