Responsibilities

Receives, stores, and issues tools, machine tool fixtures, dies, measuring devices, materials, equipment, and other items
Maintains records of tools issued to employees; takes periodic inventory and requisitions stock as needed; reports damaged, worn out, or missing equipment
May use computers to enter transactions, validate information and maintain database
Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory
Cleans, oils, and performs minor repairs on equipment; disposes of surplus or obsolete equipment in accordance with established procedure
Ensures that measuring devices are periodically calibrated
Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures
Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures
Uses forklift(s), pallet jack(s) and other devices required for asset movement
Uses computer databases to enter transactions, validate information and maintain accurate asset accountability
May be requested to assist other departments and functional areas with the movement and/or delivery of company assets
Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures
Other various duties as needed or as assigned

Required

Forklift license
Basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications and activities including (but not limited to): Basic data entry into manufacturing software system
Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Ability to read and write the English language
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Preferred

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
