Responsibilities

Perform field testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and other materials according to ASTM, AASHTO, and other industry standards
Collect and prepare soil and material samples for laboratory analysis
Conduct density testing using nuclear gauge and other soil compaction methods
Perform concrete field testing, including slump, air content, unit weight, and making test cylinders
Operate and maintain field testing equipment
Record and report test results accurately and promptly
Communicate findings with project managers, engineers, and site personnel
Adhere to safety procedures and company policies while working on-site
Assist in geotechnical drilling and subsurface investigations, if required
Perform other duties as assigned to support project goals and company initiatives

ACI Concrete Field Testing TechnicianNICET Level IIIOSHA 10/30-Hour CertificationNuclear density gauge testingField testing of materialsBasic computer applicationsEffective communicationAttention to detailOrganizational skillsTime management

Required

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in basic computer applications
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
Ability to pass a background check screening
Ability to read & write, including interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients

Preferred

ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I
NICET Level I or II in Construction Materials Testing
OSHA 10/30-Hour Certification
Experience with nuclear density gauge testing (Troxler Certification)
