Responsibilities
Manage the full sourcing and contracting process for projects, utilizing standardized templates and collaborating with business partners and subject matter experts to achieve optimal results
Partner with Category Managers to oversee the complete sourcing lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and goals
Facilitate contract management processes, including drafting, negotiation, approval, amendments, and compliance monitoring to ensure effective agreements
Leverage standardized contractual language and templates to promote consistency, clarity, and legal compliance across all agreements
Collaborate with legal teams to develop and maintain a comprehensive contract playbook that incorporates best practices and mitigates risk
Define, implement, and track KPIs to evaluate supplier performance and contract effectiveness, using outcomes to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement
Lead contract negotiations, securing favorable terms that align with organizational objectives while balancing cost, quality, and service delivery standards
Efficiently manage contract amendments, ensuring all changes are accurately documented and approved in a timely manner
Identify and address instances of contractual non-compliance, implementing corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence
Monitor the performance of active contracts to ensure adherence to agreed-upon metrics, deliverables, and regulatory requirements
Regularly review contracts to ensure alignment with evolving business needs, market conditions, and compliance standards
Provides support to Category Managers by managing select contracts across the entire sourcing lifecycle, including strategy development, bidding, supplier evaluation, and contract execution
Qualification
Required
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education
Normally requires a minimum of five to seven (5-7) years directly related and progressively responsible experience
International sourcing experience will be key to the success of this role
Outstanding knowledge of product and global supplier base, product relationships and industry trends
Working knowledge of sales, purchasing, supply chain management and/or inventory management principles and methodologies
Exceptional contract management and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects of various diverse scope in a cross-functional environment
Knowledge of cultural differences and business practices globally
Ability to deal with confrontational issues in a positive manner
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal stakeholders around the globe
Excellent negotiation skills and contract optimization skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Outstanding problem solving skills and ability to apply the appropriate tools and level of analysis to specific situations
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
Strong computer skills in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs; knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
