New Grad, Entry LevelInterlake Mecalux, Inc. is seeking talented and motivated entry-level Engineers to join their Technical Department at their corporate headquarters in Melrose Park, IL. The Structural Design Engineer will work with proprietary software to prepare quotations, calculations, drawings, and perform structural analysis for storage rack projects.

Responsibilities
Prepare quotations and installation drawings for storage rack projects
Create bills of material for proposals and orders
Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts
Perform structural analysis to meet customer specifications and a variety of codes
Prepare fabrication and installation drawings
Communicate daily with sales personnel in order to understand and customize solutions based on customer needs and assist project managers with installation quote questions and solution recommendations
Work with a third-party engineering service and other product providers to help integrate our products with outside purchased systems
Maintain proprietary structural design programs
Other duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Solid understanding of engineering principles
Ability to work in office, at our Melrose Park, IL Headquarters, 100% of the time
Preferred
Experience working with AutoCAD
