Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop accurate estimates
Use digital takeoff tools (On-Screen Takeoff or equivalent) to calculate quantities and determine labor, equipment, and material needs
Identify potential risks, evaluate cost trends, and assist in developing cost strategies
Coordinate with leadership, clients, vendors, inspectors, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track
Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, reports, and supporting documentation
Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure competitive and reliable pricing
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience estimating structural concrete work
Proficient in On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software
Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Able to read and understand blueprints
Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities
Comfortable working with clients and local inspectors
Ability to commute or relocate before starting
Preferred
Associate degree or higher preferred but not required
