Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records for multiple client accounts
Record and categorize daily transactions (sales, expenses, payroll, etc.) in QuickBooks Online and other accounting systems
Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts on a monthly basis
Prepare month-end close deliverables, including balance sheets and income statements
Manage payroll processing for clients, including data entry, payroll runs, and adjustments
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Process payroll tax filings and payments on behalf of clients (quarterly and annually)
Track employee time, PTO, and benefits where applicable
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable tracking
Collaborate with CAS team and senior accountants to ensure timely reporting and compliance
Provide support for year-end tax preparation and audits
Maintain client files in accordance with firm standards (digital binder system)
Qualification
Required
3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Payroll processing experience (ADP, QBO Payroll, or Accounting CS)
Strong knowledge of GAAP basics and double-entry accounting
Ability to manage multiple client accounts with accuracy and efficiency
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred
Experience working in a public accounting firm
Familiarity with payroll tax compliance and multi-state payroll
Experience with CAS or outsourced CFO services
