Senior Development Quality Assurance (DQA) Engineer
GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Development Quality Assurance (DQA) Engineer to conduct independent assessments of engineering compliance to ensure fulfillment of internal and external requirements. The role involves leading quality assurance functions, conducting audits, and providing technical guidance while ensuring that projects meet applicable standards and requirements.

Responsibilities
Assure that products developed by GE Aerospace are the result of suitable, rigorous, and structured processes
Conduct assessments/audits of engineering development activities to gauge compliance with applicable regulatory, industrial, and company standards including, but not limited to: RTCA / DO-178B/C, RTCA / DO-254, MIL-HDBK-516, SAE ARP4754A
Serve as a domain expert for applicable regulatory, industrial and company standards
Review technical documentation with a view to Quality and Compliance requirements
Generate Quality Assurance plans and work instructions for execution of Quality Assurance functions
Lead and facilitate root cause/corrective action investigations using appropriate procedures
Provide regular and thorough status reports and data to leadership
Ensure Quality records are maintained, metrics collected, and reports given back to the business
Generate and maintain objective evidence of assessment activities for customer and regulatory review
Interface with customers, suppliers and regulatory authorities
Provide technical guidance, mentoring and training to quality processes and requirements
Plan, manage, monitor, and execute complex, high risk, and/or multiple projects/program(s)/customers
Build and maintain relationships throughout customer hierarchy
Influence DQA vision, milestones, and execution strategy
Develop DQA expertise and pipeline
Recognize opportunities, research and implement new tools/processes/etc
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 7 years' experience in applications and embedded software process development in a regulated industry (Aerospace, Medical, etc.)
At least 5 additional years of experience in engineering, quality, process assurance or compliance
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
Preferred
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
Experience with DO-178
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Embedded Controls Experience
Solid oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to gain US Government Clearance
