Responsibilities

Responsible for setting up and operating manufacturing equipment

Responsibilities may include blocking, degreasing, grinding, polishing

Knowledge and understanding of process steps

Measure optical parts using optical metrology equipment, including hands tools

Understand quality specifications and perform quality checks on own work

Able to perform cleaning methods on small optics using both hands and a variety of tools such as tweezers, suction cups, clamps, Q-Tips, etc

Able to interpret blueprints, work orders, travelers

Participate in Kaizen events and other improvement activities

Help develop and maintain process documentation

Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed

Help develop with team members the creation of WI and other matrix needed

Help support improvements on the production floor for sustainment

Work with manufacturing team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality in the optical manufacturing process

Help support any safety related initiatives
