Titus Talent Strategies is seeking to hire skilled Electricians in the Indianapolis area. The Journeyman Electrician will perform installations, direct Apprentices and Laborers, and ensure compliance with safety and electrical standards.

Responsibilities
Review contract documents, plans, specifications and addenda
Set forth safe work practices in accordance with site specific safety plan
Review and understand the General Contractor’s schedule and assist Foreman/Leadman to execute work accordingly
Assist Foreman/Leadman in layout of project and assist and direct Apprentice Electricians accordingly
Notify Foreman/Leadman of any areas of concern, discrepancies or vagueness of design and coordination with other trades in a timely manner for review
Install Buss Feeders
Size and install wire, conduits and junction boxes
Switchgear installation and termination
Layout and preparation for installation
Underground layout and rough-in
Motors and controls – troubleshooting
Basic theory and knowledge of electrical construction
Execution of electrical installations in compliance with the National Electrical Code and the local authority having jurisdiction
Lead by example, i.e.; accuracy, honesty, fairness, workmanship, etc… always be on time and always be productive
Understand thoroughly all policies and procedures set forth the Employee Handbook as well as those that are in specific Project Policies
Help enforce all safety rules and promptly correct any potential hazard
Perform good housekeeping
Assist in monitoring productivity of Apprentice Electricians and Laborers by ensuring they are properly laid out to perform daily tasks
Work with small crew, if required
Carry out Foreman/Leadman directions
Help inspect and test extension cords and corded equipment each month
Comply with requirements in the JBI Assured Grounding Program
Inspect each tool for safety issues or concerns at every use
Promptly return tools and equipment to gang boxes when not in use
Assist Foreman/Leadman in maintaining appropriate safeguards to prevent theft and/or loss of equipment
Notify Foreman/Leadman of material needed in a timely manner to ensure adherence to material ordering procedures
Order miscellaneous materials by method established by Field Supervisor for each specific project
Attend weekly safety meetings in accordance with the Health and Safety Manual
Report any personnel problems to the Field Supervisor immediately
Fill out time records daily and turn in time records to the Field Supervisor at the end of each pay period and ensure accuracy of proper phase and cost coding
Assist in maintaining and keeping current all As-Built drawings as required by the specifications
Execute all punch list activities as directed by the Field Supervisor in a timely and workmanlike manner
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or G.E.D
Journeyman Electricians License
Current Driver's License or Identification Card
Relevant Construction experience
Minimum four (4) years of commercial/industrial electrical experience required

Posses all skills, abilities and requirements of 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Apprentices
Ability to read, understand, interpret and follow plans, specifications, instructional manuals, schematics, one-line diagrams and written instruction
Positively identify colors of wires
Knowledge of tool usage including but not limited to: hand benders ½” to 1 ¼”, all power tools, band saws, skill saws, sawsalls, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, knockout punches, hammer drills and jack hammers
Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power trenching tools
Operate two handed tools and equipment such as, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jackhammers, etc
Work energized circuits and equipment with approval from Field Supervisor as outlined in the LEI Health and Safety Manual
Operate equipment, trenchers, backhoe, lift trucks in a safe manner
Operate and work from mechanical driven personnel lifts
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead
Lifting fifty one (51) to one hundred and fifty (150) pounds with help as required
Carry tools and materials up to one-hundred (100) pounds up to four hundred (400) feet
Job requires working in all weather elements, depending on job location and time of year
Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities
Job requires employee to wear required personal tools and belt with them at all times (waist tool belt weighs approximately thirty (30) lbs)
Work from all types of ladders, stepladders up to 14', 'A' frame ladders and all size extension ladders
Carry and relocate extension ladders up to 20' stepladders up to 12' by one's self
Employee's personal weight with personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1 - 250 lbs., Class 1A - 300 lbs.)
Perform work at various heights, up to 50' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks or other safe work areas
Work in restricted areas, switchgear room, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics and vaults
Wear personal protective equipment (hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses and gloves at all times), dust mask, earplugs and respirators when required
Follow special procedures including contamination control, noise control, building systems awareness and procedures (fire alarm, card access, temperature control)
Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers
Work eight (8) to ten (10) hours daily up to six (6) days a week on your feet in all elements of weather
Night shifts and mid shifts, as required by customers
Respond to short notice overtime requirements
