Responsibilities

Serve as lead negotiator or key advisor in collective bargaining negotiations for labor organizations representing law enforcement/public safety employees
Draft, review, and interpret collective bargaining agreements (CBAs)
Advise clients on labor law compliance under applicable state and federal law
Ability to navigate the changing legal environment as Virginia law on this matter develops
Represent clients in grievance arbitrations, mediation, and administrative proceedings several different agencies
Counsel clients on labor relations strategy and organizing campaigns
Prepare legal opinions and policy recommendations on workplace and labor issues
Stay current with developments in labor and employment law and communicate relevant changes to clients or internal teams

Required

1-3+ years of experience in labor and employment law
VA Bar License

Jury trial and other Court experience
Prior judicial clerkship experience
Experience in Arbitrations and Grievances
