Responsibilities

Design, analyze, and optimize GN&C subsystem dynamics and control systems using MATLAB/Simulink
Develop and verify high-fidelity simulation models in MATLAB/Simulink and C++ environments
Support system integration, test, and verification activities to ensure subsystem performance meets program requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the program life cycle, from requirements through verification and validation
Contribute to mission operations and post-launch performance assessments, as needed

Required

Possess general domain experience in spacecraft controller design and optimization
Experience in developing and verifying performance of simulation models in simulation environments using programming tools that include MATLAB/Simulink, C++
To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI (adjudicated or eligibility) is required for consideration
Top Secret security clearance with adjudicated SCI (i.e. TS/SCI) is required prior to start
Successful applicants generally have at least 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline, such as Aerospace Engineering or other related field

Preferred

Experience with CORESIM
Experience with flight software development and autocode to C++ and Python
Attitude Determination and Kalman Filter Experience
Multi-body dynamics experience
Familiarity with a GN&C hardware suite for space applications
Experience going through a spacecraft program life cycle encompassing requirements generation, design, analysis, integration, verification, and testing of the GN&C subsystem for space applications including mission operations
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment
Demonstrated good communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers
