1+ years expJD Finish Line is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting/reporting team. This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of financial information and assisting senior leadership in making informed business decisions.

Responsibilities
Reconciles and balances general ledger accounts
Prepares and enters journal entries
Researches and corrects account discrepancies
Performs various accounting/analytical projects assigned by management
Assists in month end closing activities and year-end audit work
Assists in preparing financial packages
Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
Analyzes trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses
Reports organization's finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts
Additional duties and projects as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, or related major
Basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or Google Suite equivalents
Basic familiarity with financial systems and accounting software
Preferred
CPA Certification preferred
1 - 2 years' professional experience in accounting preferred
Retail accounting experience is a plus
Internal JD Finish Line experience strongly preferred
