Northwestern University is seeking an exemplary leader for the Division of Cardiology at Lurie Children's Hospital. The Division Head will be responsible for leading clinical care, research, education, and advocacy efforts while mentoring faculty and fellows.

Responsibilities

Leading all clinical care, research endeavors, educational efforts, advocacy, and administrative aspects of the Division's work
Setting and executing the division's strategic goals in the clinical, research, education, and advocacy domains
Mentorship of faculty and fellows to support career growth and development
Acting as the representative in interactions with Department leadership, Lurie Children’s Medical Group leadership, hospital administration, external groups and philanthropic donors
Oversight of divisional operational, philanthropic, and grant funding in partnership with the Executive Director and Division Administrator

Pediatric CardiologyResearch DevelopmentLeadershipMDMD/PhDBoard CertificationAdministrative SkillsAdvocacyMentorship

Required

MD or MD/PhD
Board-certification in Pediatric Cardiology
Fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiology
Demonstrated leadership in clinical care
Development of research and/or administration experience
Strong clinical expertise
Proven track record of research within the field of Pediatric Cardiology
Interest in faculty and fellow mentorship
