Responsibilities

Completing second-party case reviews
Managing reports
Identifying error trends
Assisting with staff training
Supporting overall program accuracy
Troubleshooting issues
Referring appropriate cases to the help desk
Maintaining the help desk log
Compiling and entering data into NC FAST
Providing support for vacant caseloads as needed

Qualification

Required

Graduation from an accredited associate degree program in Human Services Technology, Social Services Associated, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial, or a closely related curriculum
Graduation from high school and two years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact, which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling of data, analysis of data and/or performance of mathematical program
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
One (1) year experience as Income Maintenance Caseworker II required
Must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment
Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pound of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be current on Brunswick County taxes
Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening
For positions requiring work with children, selected candidates will be required to submit fingerprints to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI) for a pre-employment criminal history record check
