Responsibilities

Custom Tooling & Die Set Support – Design and modify tooling, die sets, and custom solutions to meet customer requirements using SolidWorks CAD

Legacy Product Support – Maintain and improve legacy SKUs, updating drawings, BOMs, and specifications while troubleshooting to improve product consistency

New Product Development – Provide manufacturing input and CAD support on NPD projects, including prototyping, testing, and manufacturability reviews

Manufacturing Interface & Support – Act as the technical link between engineering and production, supporting troubleshooting, process improvements, and supplier collaboration

Travel – Support operations with up to 20% travel to our Albert Lea, MN facility

Qualification

Required

Associate's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering

7+ years in mechanical/manufacturing engineering, with strong experience in custom tooling and sustaining engineering

Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD and GD&T, with experience in machining, fabrication, die/tooling design, and DFM principles

Strong cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and shop-floor support capabilities

Hands-on, adaptable, results-oriented, and committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Preferred

Bachelor's degree

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PLC systems, CAM, welding, and prototyping
