Sizzling Platter is a franchise growth platform behind several recognizable restaurant brands. As a Staff Accountant, you will manage general accounts payable duties and reconciliations in a high-volume environment while providing accounting services to the Corporate Support and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

Invoice processing
Journal entries
Recording accruals at period end
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Completion of sales and use tax returns
Research and solve problems and discrepancies
Communicate effectively and professionally
Adherence to strict deadlines
Complete other projects and special assignments as requested

Qualification

Accounting degreeAccounting experienceGeneral ledger systemsMicrosoft ExcelCommunication skillsProblem-solving skillsAttention to detailOrganizational skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
2-3 years accounting experience, preferably in a high transaction volume environment
Thorough knowledge of accounting, including the chart of accounts, debits and credits, preparing journal entries, and account reconciliations
Previous experience with general ledger systems, NetSuite a plus
Ability to follow through on details and complete tasks with a minimal amount of direct supervision
Ability to solve problems and present resolutions
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Very organized with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Preferred

Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry
Experience processing utility invoices
Knowledge and experience with sales and use tax returns
