Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a global engineering team (Mechanical, Electrical, and Project Engineers) across multiple locations, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration

Define priorities, allocate resources, and ensure on-time, on-budget execution of development projects using structured NPD and phase-gate processes

Drive the design and launch of new, market-leading products that meet performance, quality, and safety expectations

Partner with Product Management, Marketing, and Operations to align engineering initiatives with business strategies and product roadmaps

Champion the use of advanced design tools (SolidWorks, CAD/CAE) and ensure engineering compliance with global standards (UL, CSA, etc.)

Implement KPIs for quality, efficiency, and time-to-market while supporting continuous improvement in documentation, testing, and validation

Collaborate with internal and external manufacturing partners to ensure design-for-manufacturability and seamless production launches

Anticipate and mitigate project risks while driving disciplined execution and engineering excellence

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field

10+ years of progressive experience in engineering management, product development, or related roles within consumer goods or industrial machinery industries

Proven success leading cross-functional or global teams to deliver innovative products from concept to production

Strong foundation in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, with proficiency in SolidWorks, PLM systems, and MS Project/Smartsheet

Deep understanding of phase-gate or stage-gate methodologies, Lean, and DRM principles

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 10%)

Preferred

Master's degree or MBA
