Postdoctoral Research Associate - Epidemiology & Cancer Control

Responsibilities

Work on projects related to pharmacogenomics of long-term toxicities of cancer therapy in childhood cancer survivors
Perform genetic association analyses for various long-term health outcomes among survivors of European and African ancestries
Analyze multi-omics and system genetics data for elucidating molecular mechanisms for health outcomes
Evaluate health disparities through pharmacogenomics
Work with large-scale whole genome and whole exome sequencing, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, proteomics, and metabolomics data
Interact with world leaders in the fields of cancer survivorship, genetics, stem cell pharmacogenomics, epidemiology, biostatistics, and computational biology
Gain extensive training and experience in genetic epidemiology and pharmacogenomics
Access cutting-edge tools/technologies and shared core facilities and resources
Receive grant-writing training opportunities and support

Required

PhD or equivalent degree in genetics, epidemiology, biostatistics, bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field
Strong publication record
Strong research interests in genetic epidemiology, pharmacogenomics, statistical genetics, or population genetics and experience in statistical and computational analyses of high-throughput omics data
Ability to code in one or more scientific programming languages (e.g., R, Python, C/C++)
Excellent communication and writing skills
