The Engineer, Control Design will lead the design and implementation of control systems for integrated systems and equipment, ensuring reliable and safe operation in alignment with internal and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

Design and develop control systems architecture, including HMI interfaces, PLC programming, and output logic to system components

Create and maintain control logic diagrams, functional specifications, and system documentation

Collaborate with Process Engineering to ensure control systems align with system performance requirements

Partner with Project Engineers to ensure control systems meet customer specifications and expectations

Select and integrate various logic controllers (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens) and industry-standard control platforms

Ensure compliance with hazardous area safety requirements and implement safe industrial interlocks where applicable

Support system commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization during project execution

Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and safety standards related to control systems

Supports sales team as required to secure future work

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field

3+ years of experience in control system design and implementation

Proficiency in programming and configuring PLCs and HMIs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.)

Strong understanding of industrial control systems and instrumentation

Preferred

Experience with hazardous area classifications and safety interlock systems is a plus

Licensed Professional Engineer is a plus
