TRAINING AND EXERCISE PROGRAM SPECIALIST

Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, administering, and developing training for N&NC's most senior 2-, 3-, and 4-star GO/FO leadership as part of the Assessor/Authority Training Division
As N&NC ITW/AA Domain Exercise Director and Program Manager for Assessor/Authority Training, acts as the lead exercise observer/controller, managing and directing multiple co-located and geographically dispersed bi-national participants during N&NC Exercise AMALGAM INDIGO exercises and other Joint and Combined exercises
Responsible for the research, development, coordination, approval, and dissemination of CCMD ITW/AA policy and procedure updates and changes resulting from lessons learned during Exercise AMALGAM INDIGO Assessor/Authority training and certification exercises, other senior leader training exercises, and all other supported partner exercises. As N&NC/J75 ITW/AA SME, responsible for providing analysis, studies, recommendations and guidance during all ITW/AA programmatic reviews and updates
Performs recurring duties as Missile and Space Domain Chief or Deputy Chief in the N2C2 Missile & Space Domain (MSD), and maintains qualification/certification for N2C2 mission operations

A Special Sensitive clearance is required for this position. The employee is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmental Information clearance as a condition of employment
Work requires a periodic travel away from the normal duty station, including transportation by military and/or commercial aircraft
Will be occasionally required to work holidays, weekends, and non-standard hours to support military operations
This position is designated by the Air Force as a Test Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program
As a mandatory requirement for employment in this TDP, the incumbent is (A) to refrain from use of illegal drugs and (B) if required, to submit to urinalysis testing
Limited area of consideration to current AF Internal or current DoD employees
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems
Skill in the management of detailed planning, execution and after action review of training exercises
Knowledge of the functions, goals, objectives, and work processes pertinent to conducting Combatant Command and Bi-national Command training exercises
Knowledge of current military law, Canadian and U.S. national strategies, national response framework, joint plans, policies, plans and guidance, and joint staff processes for both Canada and the U.S
Skill in applying Joint Training System concepts to meet exercise and training objectives and reporting responsibilities
Knowledge of crisis response processes, crisis action plans, battle staff and contingency organizations, and the command and controls systems required for operations
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; articulate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships
Knowledge of foreign disclosure policy and procedures, security policies and procedures, and all other information related to information security and operations security
Skill in leading exercise planning events, negotiating and defending ideas and concepts, and building consensus among teams comprised of participants from multiple agencies, organizations, and nations
Skill in managing multiple programs, projects, studies, and processes simultaneously and accurately
Skills in the preparation of broad and difficult comprehensive management studies to propose solutions to challenging management problems
