Responsibilities

Subject matter expert on manufacturing processes including: equipment, floor layouts, work sequence, work instructions, procedures, and work flow
Develop and improve standard work
Identify process improvements opportunities using analysis, modeling, benchmarking, research, etc
Design layouts of equipment and workspace and improving process flow
Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory, and production record systems
Provide measurable input into the sequence of operations and work instructions
Contribute to plans for allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization
Study product requirements and determine capital equipment and labor staffing to meet requirements
Ability to work effectively with other engineers, technicians, operators, and management
Conduct machine capacity analysis and identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase efficiency (OEE)
Understanding of capital acquisition process – knowledge or background preferred
Working knowledge of product manufacturing / process technologies
Participating in and leading Kaizen events

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 3-5 years of prior relevant experience
Data mining & manipulation experience with Excel, VBA, SQL, other methods
US Citizenship is required due to government contracts

Preferred

Understanding of capital acquisition process – knowledge or background preferred
Working knowledge of product manufacturing / process technologies
