Materials Handler (Fork Lift Operator)
USAJOBS is seeking a Materials Handler (Fork Lift Operator) for the Defense Commissary Agency. The role involves assisting in loading and unloading products, participating in inventories, and performing various warehousing tasks.

Responsibilities
Assists in loading and unloading of products to and from trucks, containers and other subsistence conveyances using forklifts, manual and mechanized pallet jacks, or other approved Material Handling Equipment
Participates in inventories
Performs a wide range of warehousing tasks to include receiving, storing, selecting and shipping perishable and semi-perishables subsistence
Checks, assembles and processes documents and routes subsistence and equipment to correct locations or storage areas
Prepares shipping and inventory documents with required data for manual or automated inventory systems
Qualification
Required
Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision
Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc
Dexterity and safety
Knowledge of materials
Technical practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
Work practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI security clearance
This position requires you to operate a Forklift
This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport
Must be able to satisfy the requirements of the 26JUL12 DODI 1400.25 V1230, DoD Civilian Personnel Management System: Employment in Foreign Areas and Employee Return Rights
Must be physically able to wear steel-toed safety boots and other personnel protective equipment provided
Incumbent is required to routinely work in extreme temperatures, often stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, and to bend, stoop and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions
Employee may lift and carry items that weigh up to 40lbs
Works inside or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty or poorly lighted
Incumbent is required to perform an uncommon tour of duty to include shift work, evenings, weekends and/or holidays
