The Technical / Team Lead will play a key role in developing the company's scientific direction and lead a team in creating innovative materials for energy generation.

Responsibilities
Lead a team of scientists and engineers to develop inert anode and cathode materials and electrolytes for electrochemical production of Voya’s fuel-grade metal
Design and demonstrate high-efficiency cell architectures and process conditions
Work with Voya’s advanced prototyping team and/or contract R&D firms to scale and demonstrate these new materials and processes in pilot and production-intent systems
Establish raw material specification and supply chain to enable low-cost production of metal at scale
Qualification
Required
Track record of developing materials for high-temperature metallurgy or electrochemical processes or scaling such processes to pilot or production-scale
Experience leading high-performance teams of scientists or engineers to develop novel materials or processes
Track record of successfully managing vendors for material supply or development
Experience working with cross-functional teams, preferably for large-scale process development
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, start-up environment
Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency
