Science Teacher
The Spire School provides therapeutic education for college-bound students in grades 6–12. As a Science Teacher, you will design engaging lessons and support students' academic and emotional growth in a therapeutic learning environment.
Education Management
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver science lessons that align with state and national standards while accommodating individual learning styles
Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes both academic and emotional growth
Use differentiated instruction and adaptive teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
Assess and track student progress through formal and informal evaluations to guide instruction
Communicate regularly with families and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support each student’s success
Qualification
Required
Valid or eligible Connecticut certification in Science 7–12 or Special Education 7–12
One to three years of teaching experience with middle or high school students
Experience supporting learners with emotional or learning challenges
Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with students, families, and colleagues
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom community
Preferred
Dual certification in Science 7–12 or Special Education 7–12
