As a Summer Intern in the Accounting department, you will gain valuable industry experience while assisting with key accounting functions and supporting firm personnel.

Responsibilities
Preparing schedules, general ledger account analyses, payroll, personal property tax filings, and various business and personal tax returns
Assisting with tax extensions, proofreading tasks, and special projects as needed
Supporting firm personnel with workpaper and file management tasks to maintain organized documentation
Completing assigned tasks accurately and efficiently while meeting deadlines
Communicating effectively with supervisors regarding task progress, scheduling, and availability for work hours
Becoming proficient with the firm’s software tools, including MS Outlook, Excel, Word, CaseWare/CaseView, ProSystem, Adobe Acrobat, Deltek, and GoFileRoom
Qualification
Required
Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting or a related field
A strong desire to pursue a career in public accounting
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
The ability to quickly learn and adapt to firm-specific software systems
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred
Prior internship or relevant coursework experience
Experience with accounting software (a plus, but not required)
A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
