Lead/StaffSovos is a global provider of tax, compliance and trust solutions and services. The Technical Lead will mentor software engineers, lead software development projects, and foster a culture of quality and learning while collaborating with the Product Management team.

Responsibilities
Serve as a technical mentor and coach to other software engineers, leading and elevating performance of software development teams including 4+ direct reports
Lead the development, testing, and deployment of software applications and solutions including estimating development schedules and determining project scope
Build a collaborative partnership with our Product Management team to integrate technology, process, test, and business practices
Champion a culture of code quality and continual learning and growth throughout the department while conducting peer code reviews to ensure quality
Define and maintain design specifications and standards as well as coach others in adopting them
Interact effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers while comprehending and communicating complex concepts
Concentrate, analyze, and resolve complex problems while utilizing technology (e.g., phone systems, computer hardware and software applications) to fulfill work requirements
Qualification
Required
Skilled in software/systems architecture with expert knowledge in service-oriented design principles (design patterns, REST)
Expert in developing resilient services in Java and React
Ability to interact effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers while comprehending and communicating complex concepts
Strong analytical skills with ability to concentrate and resolve complex problems
Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
Preferred
Experience with Javascript front-end technologies (React, Angular JS) a plus
Experience with micro service patterns a plus
