Responsibilities

Provides prescription related medication support to patients, including medication refill requests, automatic refills, and prior authorization requests as ordered or directed by provider and/or department protocol
Provides coordination of services through face-to-face or phone communication
Makes decisions consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health System’s (MCHS) mission, policies, department protocol, and initiatives, with strict observance of patient confidentiality

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Basic Life Support (BLS)Customer service experienceMedical terminology knowledgeComputer skillsTelephone skillsCommunication skills

Required

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma
Customer service experience
Demonstrated proficiency with verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
Must have a wide knowledge of colloquial and medical terminology
Demonstrated computer and telephone skills
LPN license awarded by the State of Wisconsin
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire

Preferred

Associate degree in nursing
Outpatient clinic experience in primary care or related field
Experience as an LPN in related field
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire
