Responsibilities

The Level II Avionics Technician provides advanced, independent maintenance, modification, and repair of electrical and avionics systems on the SOF GLSS rotary‑wing fleets
The duties of this title will primarily perform tasks independently and play a wide-ranging role in guidance, technical instruction, and specific skill development of less experienced employees
This candidate will possess vast and comprehensive technical expertise and specialization for the applicable scope of work
The duties will encompass complex problem solving, effective communication skills and broad knowledge within the scope of assignments
The duties will include major modifications, thorough troubleshooting, and ensuring all work complies with airworthiness standards while supporting SOF‑specific mission requirements

Required

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start
The Level II Avionics Technician provides advanced, independent maintenance, modification, and repair of electrical and avionics systems on the SOF GLSS rotary‑wing fleets
The duties of this title will primarily perform tasks independently and play a wide-ranging role in guidance, technical instruction, and specific skill development of less experienced employees

Preferred

Proven maintenance on MH‑6 / MH‑60 platforms (or MD‑500 / AH‑MH‑6 equivalents), including major modifications and SOF‑specific upgrades
Familiarity with electrical/avionics systems on CH‑MH‑47 and UH‑MH‑60 airframes; ability to transition between platforms
Leadership / Mentorship Experience guiding less‑experienced technicians, reviewing work products, and providing technical direction
FAA A&P license, DoD/USAF avionics or electrical certification, or equivalent military qualifications preferred
Completion of advanced rotor‑wing electrical/avionics courses (e.g., Advanced Rotor‑Wing Electrical Maintenance School)
