Responsibilities
Assist with Hazardous Materials management
Conduct monthly inspections of AED (Automated External Defibrillators)
Conduct inspections of campus facilities
Assist with campus chemical inventory
Assists EHS Manager with conducting Construct Inspections on campus
Assist with developing written Environmental, Health, and Safety Programs
Assist with and/or conduct safety training
Inspect and inventory spill kits and other supplies
Perform other task as assigned including computer task and office duties
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines
Qualification
Required
Must work Spring and Fall semesters
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), especially a respirator
Have attended at least one semester (12 credit hours) at UCM
Have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0
Attention to detail
Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal
Mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines
Preferred
Students currently pursuing a degree in Safety
Students currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Hygiene
Students currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry
Students currently pursuing a degree in Biology
Knowledge of a University environment preferred
