FIELD STUDIES PROGRAM MANAGER

Responsibilities

Plans and coordinates approved activities for CCoE authorized IMSs, including the six-day Department of the Army Washington, D.C. Field Trip
Conducts formal briefings to IMSs on the aspects of each tour, to include climate, attire, objectives, duration, and other relevant aspects
Evaluates the effectiveness of the FSP activities to ensure they stimulate the interest and participation of the IMS and are valid to the overall program objectives and provides informational papers, staff reports
Provides information and guidance to sponsors relative to religious, cultural, and social beliefs and customs of different countries
Prepares an annual FSP budget/plan and submits to Director, IMSO for submission to TRADOC/G3/SATFA for approval
Develops, plans and conducts the FSP at the CCoE
Coordinates, plans, and executes long distance multi-day tours to areas within a 250-mile radius
Works as part of the International Military Student Office Team supporting international students (IMS)

Required

Must have a current valid state driver's license and be able to operate a 15-passenger van
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
Position requires the incumbent have command of the English language
Three year trial/probationary period may be required
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social)
Your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position
Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Executing events with local, state, national, military administrators, and political leaders to ensure successful events, 2) Coordinating orientations for international students and dependents to provide information on local city government, businesses, and industries within the community, 3) Conducting sponsor briefings for arriving classes, and 4) Managing expenditures of funding and penalties of a program
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program
