Architect and execute clinical strategy

Partner across disciplines to achieve operational efficiency
Implement evidence-based medicine
Spearhead patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
Oversight of physician credentialing, privileging, and performance
Design, implement, and oversee quality improvement efforts
Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and the California Department of Public Health
Lead strategic quality initiatives for patient access/satisfaction, provider engagement, clinical outcomes, and comprehensive process transformation
Cultivate deep engagement with all clinical groups
Partner with the regional chief nursing officer
Integrate physicians and APPs into CommonSpirit Health's core direction
Optimize market position and pursue growth opportunities
Lead high-impact safety and quality collaboratives
Catalyze multidisciplinary work groups
Be accountable for a consistently exceptional patient experience
Articulate and realize a compelling clinical vision
Harmonize clinical vision with operating model
Ensure seamless, compliant patient transfers
Drive exceptional, safe clinical outcomes
Craft and implement strategic recommendations
Enhance healthcare delivery, organizational effectiveness, and operational efficiency
Integrate medical staff, management, and employees into a unified, collaborative force
Qualification
Required
MD or DO degree with Board Certification in a medical or surgical specialty
A record of successful clinical practice augmented by five (5) to seven (7) years of leadership experience in a multi-hospital system, integrated delivery network as CMO
Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in a specialty
Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in health care
Current, active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in at least one US state or territory
Prior (or current) Board Certification in a specialty
Preferred
Post Graduate Management degree (MBA, MHA, or similar)
Employed physician group experience
