IT Data Center Operations Manager
Qualcomm Incorporated is seeking an experienced IT Data Center Operations Manager to join their Global IT Operations team. Responsibilities
Working independently with minimal supervision
Supervising direct reports
Making impactful decisions that influence program/project success, finances, and objectives
Communicating complex information to diverse audiences; may require negotiation and influence
Managing a small budget and contributing to P&L decisions
Influencing key organizational decisions through consultation with senior leadership
Executing multi-step tasks requiring simultaneous cognitive abilities
Applying deductive and inductive problem-solving with intermediate data analysis
Innovating new processes and procedures within established guidelines
Demonstrating ownership and urgency in addressing technical issues and strategic challenges
Motivates team to adapt to changing priorities
Collaborates across teams to complete projects
Sets performance expectations and evaluates team members
Allocates workload based on availability, skill set, and current assignments
Develops and mentors experienced team members
Conducts regular performance reviews and identifies development opportunities
Leads implementation of standardized tools and processes
Promotes a unifying team vision and fosters a collaborative environment
Addresses skill gaps through targeted resources and development
Communicates plans and roadmaps clearly
Evaluates opportunities for process improvements and resource optimization
Encourages diverse contributions across backgrounds and cultures
Leads cross-domain requirement development with IT and Facilities stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems) OR Bachelor's degree in a non-technical field (e.g., Business, Humanities, Marketing) and 5+ years IT-relevant experience OR High School diploma or equivalent and 10+ years IT-relevant experience
6+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 8+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor's degree
2+ years of experience leading projects/programs
Subject matter expertise required in ICT spaces and standards, IT Security, Operations, and Project Management
