Responsibilities
Responsible for managing process control system & PLC modifications/projects in design, specification, execution and qualification in accordance with established change control procedure
Develop PLC programs using ladder logic, functional block diagram, structural text, sequential flow chart (Allen Bradley/Rockwell Products, Siemens etc.)
Configure and develop HMI/SCADA screens for control and monitoring applications
Set parameters for drives and establish communication between drives and PLCs
Validate and troubleshoot MCC and PLC-based control systems during factory testing
Prepare test reports and documentation as part of factory validation processes
Interact and align with other disciplines for process development and improvement
Analysis and implementation of software functions/units related to electric drives and associated systems
Qualification
Required
Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering
Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical architecture and control system design
Expertise in control panel design and development, schematic preparation, and harness design
Knowledge of Aluminium smelters which include GTC, GAP, ARS, FTA Cranes, PTM Cranes
Strong hands-on experience in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens etc.)
Proficiency in electrical component selection and control system calculations
Hands-on experience with EPLAN/AutoCAD for panel layout and schematic creation
Good knowledge of ethernet communication protocol and industrial communication protocol
Experience working in international development teams
Work proactively, responsibly and meticulously, have good team spirit
Good spoken and written English language skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills
Willingness to travel for work assignments globally
