Founding Payroll Implementation Manager
Hammr is a growing company specializing in payroll and HR solutions for construction businesses, seeking a Founding Payroll Implementation Manager to enhance customer onboarding and implementation processes. The role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction and success as they transition to Hammr's platform.

Responsibilities
Onboard, implement, and launch new customers from kickoff → Go-Live
Improve our onboarding playbooks and define what 'white-glove' means at scale
Be the trusted partner to contractors as they run their first payrolls
Qualification
Required
3+ years launching payroll implementations for customers at ADP, Rippling, Deel, Paychex, Gusto, Paylocity, or similar
Strong understanding of payroll (taxes, PTO, deductions, job costing, etc.)
Ability to run first payrolls and validate accuracy
Comfort in gathering, cleaning, and migrating payroll & HR data
Excellent communication across Payroll Admins, HR, Accounting, Controllers, PMs
Strong project management & attention to detail
Comfort in a fast-paced environment and ability to refine playbooks as you go
High ownership, proactivity, and a deep desire to help customers win
Preferred
Familiar with prevailing wage, certified payroll, union, or multi-state payroll experience
Construction experience
Experience with Account or ERP systems
Ability to write onboarding playbooks, SOPs, and internal docs
Love solving complex workflows and compliance puzzles
Startup/early-stage experience (Series B or earlier)
